Joe, I just had a vision of clay and saw dust mixed together.
What a clean up job that would be.

Hi Peter,
Actually the problem could be worse then that, clay dust dulls the tools.
Dust from stone carving or water-based clay is very abrasive and should be
kept far away from the carving studio and carving wood. After I retired I
moved a lot of things out of my shop making it a lot easier to clean. I'm
going to try doing the forming of the clay in the carving studio with the
drying and glazing in the garage area hoping to keep the clay dust out of my
carving area.
