[Woodcarver] Light plate switches

How do you keep thin basswood from curling towards the carving.
Even putting the same stain/finish on both sides doesn't seem to
prevent it.

Hi Larry,

Carving from the heart-side of the piece results in less curling then
carving on the sap-side of the piece. Also picking a piece where the grain
(growth ring when looking at the end grain) has very little curve (toward
the outside of a very large log), helps minimize curl.
