[Woodcarver] Water Based Stains

Hi Hans,
I believe water-based stains are pigment stains. I don't think there are any
dye stains that are water-based. I might be wrong.
You might try adding alcohol to your water-based stain to lower the
viscosity. That might get you deeper penetration into the wood. However It
may not be much better because you are still working with a pigment stain.
