Darn, he does sell nice basswood blocks. I hope he is around. I will try to buy somemore blocks from him at woodcraft store and will check out the woodcarving shows. That email no longer exist, I will try his phone number soon. Thank you Denny for the information.

The email address I have for Uncle Al's is  alveria at ez-net.com.  His phone is 
20-846-3542 in Oconto Falls, WI.  
I believe that the last time I saw him he was going to go out of business.  Too 
ad, he offered a good product at a good price and is a very nice person to

 I brought some basswood blocks from woodcraft. It was from  "Uncle Al's 
 Carving wood, kiln dried, Northern Wisconsin Basswood. The basswood  was 
 square, parallel and ready to draw pattern out line for bandsaw. 
    And I tried to email them, no longer exist. Do  you know their email 
 address? Phone number? Or mailing address?
