Hi Matt,

Sharon and I went to Carv-Fest so I can give you a quick overview but I
don't have pictures or numbers to share. I can tell you that it was well
attended and a great success. The Whillock's did an awesome job organizing
and advertising the event.

There were 40 classes scheduled to run Saturday and Sunday in 8 classroom
areas. These classes were well attended. I had 18 students in my 2 drawing
classes. Other classes had about the same, averaging 7 to 8 students per
class. In addition there were demonstrations running almost the entire show.
These demonstrations were free and also well attended. I'm guessing there
were about 20 booths plus vendors. I didn't have a booth so I don't know how
the sales were but we ended up buying some things. The raffle went extremely
well for Sharon and I because we won a carving by Marv Kaisersatt.

I want to thank the Whillocks for all the hard work they did to make
Carv-Fest a success. These type of events rarely make money. They do it to
promote woodcarving and not to make money. Hopefully the carvers supported
it well enough so that it at least met expenses.
