I would like to share with the other carvers on this list an experience I
had with Ashley Isles tools.
I purchased about 8 Ashley Isles tools from a company in Windsor Ont that
was going out of business about 25 years ago. One of the tools was a long
bent "V", after a few years of services I broke about 1/2" off of one wing
of the tool, I ground it back a have used it since. About a month or so ago
the tool broke again on the same wing but this time back about a inch and a
half came off the tip. Both times that this tool broke there was no prying
involved or any other abuse to the tool.
I looked up Ashley Isles tool on the internet and seen that they had an
unconditional guarentee . I sent them the broken tool giving them the
history of the tool. They sent me a new "V" tool at no charge, this is what
I call service.
Yours trully Paul Chittle
