[Woodcarver] Roll call

If at first you DON'T succeed ???
After a looonnng search for (what I thought ) the right wood for a BIG relief carving 
Did find it in the BC and had it shipped to Ontario by Grey hound 
Had it planed and laminated into a block 4'x3'x3" drew the plan on and spend 40-45 hrs carving on it 
Had to come to the sad conclusion that the wood is NOT suitable (too brittle)
and had to abandon this project and look for new wood 
Hopefully I can find what I am looking for in the next month or so
