[Woodcarver] Photos - Fumed Butternut

Hi Donna et al,

Here is a link to a page with the Celtic cross showing the before and after
effect on butternut. I too had not heard of fuming butternut, however not
having any oak at the moment I had the urge to carve I experimented and am
quite please with the color that was achieved.

Hi Donna,

I will take some pictures this weekend and post them with a link. I will
make sure to include a piece of the original butternut to show the
comparison of color.

Shawn- that is interesting. I've never heard of fuming any wood but oak so
I'm surprised to hear that it worked on butternut.
Any chance you could post a photo of the finished cross?
