John Krantz has never had or needed a website to keep busy with his
wood. He has been referenced in some websites and on the lists. He is
currently getting ready for the Mesa, AZ show and will be leaving for
that next Sat. We spent the day working on orders and he is currently at
home tallying the wood that we finished today. He usually does not have
a ready stock of wood but does have some finished wood in various sizes.
The majority of his wood is basswood but also has butternut. When
ordering wood, if the dimensions are flexible, it makes it easier to
make up an order. By flexible you can set a minimum for thickness and/or
width as well a maximum. Example instead of 3x3 indicate minimum 2 3/4
to 3 1/2 square by length in 8" increments or RL (Random Length). This
would come out as a squares that would be packaged in available
packaging of 16 , 24 or 32 or random lengths. Another method would be to
get wood from some thickness of varying sizes and RW (Random Width). By
using a little flexibility we can make up the order much easier but if
you require an exact dimension we will do that but sometimes John will
have to get the wood from other locations which could delay the order.
The best return for the money is to ship a box of 70lbs which is about
30 bd ft of basswood or butternut. John Krantz e-mail:
