[Woodcarver] Basswood question

Thanks for all the suggestions and the emails with tips. A lot of 
helpful information and web site resources to go through and more to 
learn. I did find one tip that I think addressed a big part of my 
problem. I need to use "stacked" cuts when I have multiple chips 
terminating in a center point. After going back and looking at 
various pictures more closely, I see where that was where I was 
trying to squeeze to many cuts in the same spot.

I did show my wife a practice panel about 4" x 18" of repeating 
patterns in one inch squares and a little rosette about 5" diameter. 
She thought they looked fine, although I know where all the rough 
spots are. I won't quit my day job yet, but I think I'm hooked now.
