[Woodcarver] Doris Briggs' passing

It is with great sorrow that I write to you of my mother's passing.

Doris passed away on December 26, 2008.  She had struggled with  
Pulmonary Fibrosis for the last 2 years and her lungs and heart could  
no longer keep her going.

Pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive disease, an inflammation of the  
lungs that gradually replaces working lung cells with non-functional  
scar tissue.  Along with this comes weight loss and weakness.  For the  
last few months she was dependent on a wheelchair to get around and  
needed an external oxygen supply to breath.  Throughout it all she  
trusted in God and worried about not being there for her family.

We are going to miss her.
