Sorry to hear that your band saw is ailing. It is amazing that my 36 year old saw is still going strong with just a new belt and new/used motor to replace the used one we put on in 1973.
The Carter products are very good indeed. I don't recommend them for people who buy new band saws, but if you need to buy new parts anyhow then it sounds like a good plan.
