Or you can look up the pattern by Mack Sutter's two books, Floral  
Woodcarving and Flower pattern Woodcarving. Better go basic relief pattern and  few 
patterns but not to many patterns, Less patterns will make teaching easy as  
possible and less hassle. Or Basic grapes & leaves or Shell design or  acanthus 
would work but not too advance or expert level.  Few patterns in  different 
groups. Depend on student knowledge, ability, skills and  type of tools they own.
