[Woodcarver] Crazy Carver

You know what my definition of a crazy carver is? Hand scaling a 5 foot,
almost 50 lb, hand carved codfish using a few #9 chisels and a heavy
mallet. While you are eating your hotdog's and macaroni salad, I am hard at work
doing this tedious labor as my deadline approaches at the end of next
week. Please eat a hamburger(make that a cheeseburger) for me and keep me in
your thoughts. I will either be completely insane or dead by the time I am
done the scales(and right now I can't decide which would be the better
outcome). But my fish will be magnificent I think it will definitely outlive
me. It is going to a four star hotel up in Cape Cod. After the scaling is
finished I will be cutting and carving the 5 top and bottom fins, doing a
little clean-up and sanding and then it is on to the painting and antiquing.
To quote Mr. T, "I love it when a plan comes together". I am so happy
that after weeks of gluing-up, hacking away with large chisels and a 30 oz
mallet and lots of hand carving, it actually looks like what it is supposed
to!
