Amazing work, Maura.  I wasn't familiar with the sacred cod of Massachusetts so
I looked it up on the web, and it turns out that the one you carved is longer
than the one that currently hangs in the state house of representatives!  What a
feat!  The fish looks amazing.  That would be a lifetime achievement for me
instead of a long line of creations that you've done.  You should be very proud!

the original sacred cod and the replica which hangs there today are exactly 4'
11 1/2"  I researched it and I had the maintenance dept at the Mass. state house
verify it.  My finished fish is that big. My client is a very wealthy mass./ny
real estate mogul who insisted the dimensions be true.

My Full scale reproduction of the Sacred Cod of Massachusetts is finally
complete.  It is 5 feet long and 45-50 lbs.  If you have a moment you can view

The fish is the first album.  let me know what you think.  This took lots of my
spare time over the last 5 weeks.  It will be hung from a rafter over the door
to a bar in a four star hotel on Cape Cod.
