[Woodcarver] Humidity and Rust

Greeting Everyone!

    Hope you are having a great summer.  Here in Illinois it is extremely hot and humid and my shop is located in my garage.  I usually wipe my gouges down with a little oil to prevent rust.  My father was saying that they used to have a bar that you put with your tools to prevent rusting.   Have any of you heard of such a thing?
