Are those the spiral sanding cones you are referring to???  If so, then one of
the mandrels shown is probably what you need.  Those type of sanding cones won't
work on the M-23 split mandrel from Foredom.

Hi Gang,

Thanks for all your comments about the split mandrels and sanding cones from my
previous question.  Unfortunately, I immediately stopped receiving the digest
format each day so only saw your answers tonight after getting the last few days
of postings.

What I have already is the split mandrel model M23 from Foredom, as well as the
spiral sanding cones in several grits.  What I can't do is mount those sanding
cones onto the split mandrel.  The sandpaper will not slide easily into the slot
of the mandrel.  No one really addressed how they mount these sanding cones, can
anyone help? (without waking sleeping Big Dogs?? LOL!!
