Hi Matt, 



I just started carving a house in relief from a 5" x 6" x 3/4" piece of basswood.  I have the center line and the depth lines drawn around the sides of the basswood block and traced the roughing out portion of the pattern on, and - roughed out the sky. 



My burning question that I am working on is a method to add a frame around the windows which are very small, 7/16" x 3/16".  My present thinking is to go to a craft store and purchase a plastic sheet with various squares and rectangles (if it exists) and draw one rectangle inside a little larger one. The smaller one is the window itself which will be slightly hollowed out.  The larger one would be for the frame around it for which I would make a small stop cut around the window.
