Good Morning Friends in Carving -

I swapped a few emails with former member Elle last night,  and it's  
fairly clear to me we had a case of mismatched expectations.   My  
sense is that she was looking for a newsletter that would present  
articles about how to carve,  and not the sometimes lively flow of  
message that any mail list is likely to produce.  That's fine - a mail  
list is not for everyone - some folks are just not up the volume of  
messages.

This experience also suggests I need to perhaps fine-tune the  
information at carverscompanion.com and on the pairlist site to make  
it more clear how a mail list functions, what a new member should  
expect,  and how to self-unsubscribe or switch to digest mode.

And now let us move on to other topics -  does anyone have a burning  
woodcarving question for this fine Friday?
