Ralph, some of the pieces were finished with Howard's Feed 'n Wax - some
were stained with Watco Satin Wax, I mixed Natural & Dark until I had the
desired color, then I buffed by hand. Some I've finished with a cream shoe
polish. Most recently I tried leather preservative, some of the beeswax
formulas result in a dark finish, the silicone formulas give a lighter
finish, after applying the preservative I use a hair dryer to heat the
product to make it penetrate the wood; after a few days I spray Deft Clear
Wood Finish Satin as a topcoat.
