Hi Mike and all,... I had the same problem so I picked up several
binders and removed the articles I wanted to keep and placed them into
plastic acid free sleeves. Then I added a section of wood (basswood)
with the same width of the binder and carved it to represent items held
within the binder i.e. Celtic symbol for information related to Celtic
cross, for Fish I carved a fish on the front and so on. Now I am no
longer digging through hundreds of magazines and I have an excellent
carving library. However, I do keep the magazines i want to keep intact
such as the first addition # 1 and so on.

Is anyone still keeping an index for Carving Magazine? I got my collection
in ring binders on magazine hangers, but just browsing through them is way
too dangerous... I get distracted for hours
Keep on Carvin'
