Thanks for sharing Fred's web site with us WB Jan.  He truly is an incredible
artist.
 
For those of you who don't follow the doings of "the greatest show on earth",
the International Woodcarvers Congress, Fred Zavadil accomplished something that
has never been done in its' 42 years of existence.
 
Last summer, Fred took the Best of Show honors as well as the First Runner-up
AND Second Runner-up!!!  No one has ever taken the top three spots in that
prestigious carving competition.  It is a testament to Fred's tremendous carving
talent.
 
The show is held the third full week in June of every year.  It is being held,
for the first time, in a brand new $26 million dollar convention center in
downtown Bettendorf, Iowa after being in Davenport, Iowa for the past 42 years.
