Ask the Congress to cut their staff in half and reduce the size of congress
and senate in half.  With the advances  in technology they can reach the
people fast easier than before and can reduce their size and take a huge cut
in pay,,reduce the number of days they can meet and make it a part time job.

Here in Michigan one of our beloved Congressional leaders has suggested a
across the board 25% pay cut for teachers to help balance our budget (don't
tell the hat lady). This is rationalized as we just need to do this and the
old they only work 75% of the work year argument. When my wife heard this
after coming home from 32 kindergartners she said !@$$$%^&**((   !!!

I admire our teachers who are continually placed in impossible situations
and somehow still come up with valid learning experiences for the kids.  It
isn't an easy task but somehow most of our teachers in the trenches find a
way. My highest regards always go to the people who teach our kids.  They
are the true heroes of our times.  Sadly, they are generally underpaid and
underappreciated.  With today's impossible class sizes and the cultural
diversity that challenges them, it's a wonder that they do as well as they
do..
