Hi all. I just returned from a couple of weeks in Alaska. It was wonderful except that I got my computer stolen out of my luggage. I think insurance will replace it but I still lost a lot of stuff that was in the computer and a bunch of emails.
The weather in Alaska was great. We got to view Mt. Mckinley two days in a row. I even found some time to draw. We took the 5-day land tour from Fairbanks to Anchorage and a 7-day inside passage cruise. I met a lady carver from the Haida tribe who carves totems documenting her history. She makes many of her own tools. She truly was the gold that I found on this trip, a very talented artist.
Today the apprentices and I set up to show at the Fair which begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday. Those are long show days that take almost a week to recover. I hope to find some time to get some of the vacation pictures posted.
