Donna Thanks for noticing

It was my design of the size and pose of the pieces. The size is bigger then usual but I needed to have it bit enough to carve. I got our experienced carvers to do the major pieces, Kings, Queens, Bishops, and Knights. I actually got Stu Martin to carve Crazy Horse. I carved the TeePee Rook and another member carved the Fort Block House (traditional rook). But I wanted to have the soldier Rook echoes the TeePee so I carved the standing rifles. We left both in the set. I did not want the Pawns to be miniature so I designed them to scale but in a crouch. You can see the different skill and stile of various carvers doing the Pawns but the pose keeps them coordinated.
