Wow, Donna, I can't believe how much life and movement came from just
lifting that one paw! It did indeed make the dog come to life. Good
thinking! I'm sure the clients were very, very pleased.

Thanks to some good advice from friends, family, and fellow carvers I've
managed to finish the Bocephus carving to my satisfaction. Take a look at it

That was one difficult project, but it will be worth it if the people like
it and it reminds them of their dog.
Coincidentally, our Australian Blue Heeler died this week after a short
illness. He was 10 and he had been slowing down a lot this past year, but it
is still sad to see the 'good ol' boy' dog go. RIP Rex.
