[Woodcarver] T'was a grand ol' time under the tent!

Hey Lil' Joe,

 

How can anyone forget such a special occasion such as that?  It was so
moving that they wanted to share that moment with their woodcarving family.

 

I remember all the woodchips flying instead of rice!  No wait!  That was
Floyd carving so feverishly that chips were flying all over the place!  My
bad!

I had the opportunity to sing with the minister who married you here at the
GOW. We had a nice talk about the great memories of your wedding. Your
wedding is still very special to him. I don't think he'll every forget it.

I've always enjoyed Don's work.

You are in our prayers.

One thing to think about.  I said to some one the other day "both feet hit
the floor and I got out of bed, alive.  I'm happy."

He said I had a low standard.

"No," I said "I have a happy life!"

To all of our woodcarving friends,

 

This note is so difficult to send out but Don has been diagnosed with lung
cancer. There are also tumors in both kidneys. We meet with the oncologist
on Moday afternoon to discuss the treatment and prognosis. At this point Don
is showing no symptoms. He has had some back and leg pain from another
condition.

 

We would greatly appreciate the prayers of all of our friends. Please add
Don to any prayer list that you can. We both know the power of prayer and
know that the outcome of this is in God's hands.

 

We haven't yet cancelled any of our plans but may have to do that after
talking to the doctors on Monday.

 

I will try to keep posting updates when possible.
