Hi Kas,

The GOW (Gathering Of Woodcarvers) is a week-long celebration of woodcarving with 4 full days of reasonable priced seminars from all levels of instructors. We typically have 40 seminars running those 4 days. We have evening activities and lots of socal time to meet other woodcarvers.

There are several of this type of events. One is starting next week, Carv-Fest in MN. I will be teaching there plus about a zillion other great teachers.

      It is with great sadness that Iâ?Tm announcing we are postponing GOW 2010.

      The organizers of the GOW, Joe and Sharon Dillett, Sandie Burgdorf, Susan Alexander, Camper John Clopton and Bob Mau regret this necessary decision. Circumstances kept piling up, such as health issues, which indicated it would be best to call it off. Weâ?Tve had 9 very successful GOWs with our organizers making each one better then the last one. This year it wasnâ?Tt shaping up to the level that youâ?Tve come to expect from us so we decided to postpone it. We have always thought that the GOW belonged to everyone who came. Thatâ?Ts why this decision was so difficult to make.



      We will decide the future of the GOW after things settle down. We will keep you informed. We hope postponing the GOW has not caused any hardships for those who were planning on teaching or the students who were looking forward to learning and building friendships with others in the carving community. If you know of people who were planning on coming and are not on these woodcarving email groups, please let them know.
