[Woodcarver] What is a Carving Club's Purpose?

 Open question to all

There were several responses to my previous question of "What makes a Carving Club more then a Social Group?".  One item mentioned often is that a Club should have a Purpose or Mission Statement which is a focus for the membership.  My followup question is "what are some Purposes for a Carving Club?"  
Please mention as many as possible but also state the Purpose of your own club so we can get an idea of the one most common.
