I have one of those "picnic blankets" it's blanket material on one side and
the other is a thick vinyl. I lay it out, vinyl side up when I am working on
a project; I often just sit or kneel on the blanket. When I am done for the
evening I pick up the corners, fold it up and put it out of the way, I can
pour the chips into a box so I can burn them; just a shake or two outside
and it's clean enough to go again. It also protects the floor if I
accidentally drop a chisel.
