[Woodcarver] lilac

The lilac that I carved was extremely hard - probably better for turning
- polishes nicely though. It has a variety of colors in it and a
perfume-y smell to it when carved. I used one piece as a handle for a
homemade adz - that will give you some indication of the hardness of the
wood.
