Hi Andy,
By jig saw are you referring to a hand held jig saw?
Scroll saws are wonderful tools that do everything and more that a hand held jig saw can do.
Changing the blade allows you to cut a variety of materials, thicknesses, and varying intricacy.
I have an RBI Hawk scroll saw and use it all the time to prepare items for chip carving.
With a fine blade the cut edges are glassy smooth and do not need any sanding.

Doh! Absolutely right Dougey... what was I thinkin'! I can't imagine how

disappointing the year could've been if I hadn't to witness Carvin' Jack's

"gift".

Seriously, you're right. It would have been a lot tougher year if not for

the woodcarving related things I was able to make it to. Actually making

the AIW this year, visiting with Pat on the way back home, the Niagara

County show, my classes in Old Forge, the NEWR....
