Joe,

My deep sympathies to your entire family, it is never easy to lose a member to such a difficult disease.  I am truly glad he had a few weeks to have a last time with the family to say goodbye and let them know it is OK with him.  Having almost missed that opportunity with my family and my medical issues, I am eternally grateful that I  am on the long road to recovery.  I am closer to my family and friends than I ever thought possible and understand how deeply that can affect everyone to get a second chance with them.  God bless you all and particularly your brother for setting an outstanding exhibit for all of us to follow!!

> Thanks for your prayers on my brother's passing. My brother Mike (59) died of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease only a few weeks after his diagnosis.  When he heard his diagnosis, which is always fatal, he said that's ok with him. However he did cry for his family. He was very cheerful and grateful for the few weeks God gave him in the end. He had a very peaceful, beautiful death. I'm very blessed to have Mike as a brother.
