Hello carving friends,

I know John has touched many of our lives over the years in many different
ways.  His rough and tough exterior sometimes hid a truly gifted artist and
friend willing to help anyone out no matter what the circumstances.

Here is additional information on the services planned for John.  The
visitation will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 4:00 to 8:00PM.  It will
be held at the Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home, 911 N. Linden St., Wahoo, NE 68066
(402)443-3128.

The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM at the Ithaca United
Methodist Church, 302 7th. Street, Ithaca, NE 68033 (402)623-4227.

If you're so inclined, here are two florists in Wahoo who regularly deal
with the funeral home:

When Nancy called me the other day and told me what happened, she seemed
resigned to the fact that it was finally over.  John and her discussed the
inevitable over the last month, so she was fully prepared when the time
came.  But like she said, it's going to be very lonely without him.  Please
keep her and their whole family in your thoughts and prayers.  Every so
often after this is all over, take a bit of time out and drop her a note or
a card letting her know that her carving family is out here for her.
