Love it ... I have one to add also .... 
 
In Oklahoma they handed out 1" or maybe 1.5" basswood blocks and you had to use (only a knife) to get it as round as possible (couldn't remember how long we had, most likely an hour). At the end of it ... all of the balls were dropped through an angled pvc pipe (one at a time) and the one that went that farthest was the champ. The winner was perfectly round (how he did it I don't know). I was given a piece of butternut ..... my first and last contest.
