This is what happens when you mix North West Native American with a North East brook trout.

After over a year the Adirondack Art Center in Old Forge, NY has construction moving ahead on their new building/grounds (long ugly story). As one of many needed fund raisers they invited 50 artists to take a basic fish decoy blank meant for decorative painting and go wild. The collection will tour the area during the auction collecting silent bids. Our Erie Canal woodcarvers responded with eight versions (I WILL have pictures) which I delivered yesterday. This one was my contribution. I originally intended to relief carve a fishing scene in the side of mine... Was very glad this muse struck instead, because a local pyrographer did two with beautiful scenes in them that I doubt mine would have come close to.

Hope you enjoy…

Keep on Carvin'
