It sure was nice to hear that Ol' Don had received the Ron Ryan Award from
the Dayton Carvers Guild at the Artistry in Wood show.

He joins the ranks of some very deserving folks involved with woodcarving.

I still don't know why I'm amongst such individuals, but I am honored and
humbled to be there.

Subject: [Woodcarver] Ol' Don receives the Ron Ryan Award at AIW in Dayton

Ol' Don received the Ron Ryan Award, given once a year to a carver who
"exemplifies the ideals of giving of oneself, expressing goodwill , and
exerting the extra effort needed to promote woodcarving throughout the
carving world."

I'll try to post a photo of Ol' Don with his award later tonight.

A well-deserved choice, IMHO!

Hi everyone,

Don and I are in a campground tonight on our way home from the Dayton Show.
It was spectacular as usual. Don still can't believe that he was given an
award for all the stuff he does for the carving world. The plaque will be
mounted on his office wall when we get home tomorrow. It was really neat to
see all of our carving friends that we haven't seen all year.

Hope everyone made it home safely.

Sandie
