[Woodcarver] Cottonwood Bark Finishing question

alex, i have used super glue to strengthen bark. before finishing it. and i have used sanding sealer also. seems to toughten it up some.

i dont use deft tho. i spray mine with clear acrylic paint. works better then the varnish and deft.

i like your carvings.

i hvae been using cottonwood bark from the beachs of lake erie and the presqe isle in Penn.
not as thick as western stuff but sure a nice color.
