Hi all it's time for my cheap but easy way to get honning compound. What I do is as follows:

1 In a 500ml (1/2 quart) glass jar, put about 75 ml (3 fl oz, 5 tbsp) of Titanium white acrylic paint.
2 Add about 400ml water, put the lid on and shake well.
3 Let the white pigment settle out ovenight.
4 Decant the clear water off, leaving the white pigment behind
5 Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 three more times.
6 Rinse the white pigment into a small dish and allow to dry.
7 Mix the dry powder with a small glob of vasoline.
8 Use this mixture as a good honning compuond.

You can also extract the Titanium Oxide from oil based paint but uou need turpentine alcohol and other flamable material so should only be done where there is good fire protection.

Keep smiling

Doug
