[Woodcarver] Food Safe Finish

I use mineral oil to finish any food contact items i make.  It doesn't produce as nice a shine as the commercial "Salad Bowl Finish", but it brings out the grain and gives it a "satin" look.

I am carving the Oak Bowl found in the latest Woodcarving Illustrated.  Does anyone have a suggestion what to use as a food safe finish for the inside of the bowl?
