Hi Joe,

In my woodturning clubs that is a constant topic of what to use. Many turners use any type of nut oils as hazelnut, walnut, etc., but it seems all most of all them go back to the salad bowl finish. It seems to not go rancid but does need to be reapllied as use. Hope that helps some.

I am carving the Oak Bowl found in the latest Woodcarving Illustrated.  Does anyone have a suggestion what to use as a food safe finish for the inside of the bowl?

Thanks,
Joe H
