[Woodcarver] Sierra Nevada Brewery Carving/What am I doing wrong?

I just started doing some relief carvings,about 4 mos. ago what is the
trick in getting every thing so smooth "Ron" is it sanding? what am I
missing?..Irwin R

Oh,my gosh ....PAINT???  You mean you're going to cover your beautiful
carving with Paint?  (laughing)
