Hello folks,
Some of you who belong to the Wood Carving Illustrated Message Board have
heard of this project. Bob Duncan from WCI has put together a project where
carvers from everywhere are sending in carved quilt squares (4" x 4" x 1/2"
thick) that will eventually be put together in a number of large quilt
carvings. They will be then used as a fund-raiser for the victims of the
great tragedy the hit Japan.
Our local club jumped on the bandwagon and decided to get involved in the
project. Here is a link to a story ran in our local paper, the Quad-City
Times, this morning. It made the front page with two large pictures. What
a great thing to wake up and see!
