Hey Lil' Joe,
It is truly a great accomplishment that Sandy and her hard-working committee
pulled off. We were honored to have played a part in it.
Thanks goes out to you who volunteered to chair the event for next year.
The event couldn't have anyone finer looking after it.

Wrap-Up Report on the Winter Wood Wonders Festival to benefit Disabled
Veterans
A BIG THANK YOU to all those who supported this wonderful event, the Winter
Wood Wonders Festival held at Pheasant Run the weekend of February 26 & 27.
It was a huge success. After expenses your total donations to your disabled
veterans was $6,092.73.
For the first show this was awesome. Sandy Jennings (founder and organizer
of the show) and her committee Orlan Jennings, Shelly Weiser, Katherine
Cilley and Sharon Bechtold did an awesome job to pull this show together in
3 months from the time of conception to show day. They couldn't have done it
without the help of all of you who donated your carvings, came to the show
and bid on items in the silent auction.
Yesterday (April 6, 2011), we went to the Spinal Injury building at Edward
Hines VA Hospital for the presentation. I've posted some photos in my
Webshots under the album titled Winter Wood Wonders Festival.

One great thing that came out of our presentation is the possibility of
trying to get woodworking and wood carving classes going for them. It would
be great to have one or more booths with their work at future Winter Wood
Wonders Festivals.
Next years' planning is under way. We are waiting for Pheasant Run to give
us dates (January or February 2012). The price of the room has doubled but
still is 40% of what they normally charge. It will be tough to hit $6,092.73
but we feel we've got a good shot at it, with expanding to 100 tables and
booths for next year. As soon as I get the dates I will let you all know so
you can take advantage of our Early Registration Discount. I feel that the
show is going to fill up so get your registration in early. Early
registration, for the two day show, will be $35 for a table and $50 for a
booth.
Thanks again for all your support. You all are the GREATEST!!!!!!
