Right on the mark, Joe.
Personalization sets a carved plate apart from all other gifts they receive.
I like to use an 8" rim plate and then add their last name and the year to the design.
Including a plate stand with the gift gives it a greater chance it will go on display!
Sincerely,
Marty Leenhouts

p.s. Pat, yes this pattern will be added to the Pattern Vault for you to have!

Hi Marty,
That's a great project and a wonderful wedding gift. Are you personalizing those plates for them?

Timely question, Joe.
With spring weddings coming up, I'll be creating a wedding plate pattern this weekend.
I already know two couples who will be getting one of these wedding plates.
Sincerely,

Just wondering what you all are carving this days.
I just finished carving 3 nails to go on the table with a crown of thorns that I made for an Easter center piece. I'm also working on an onlay (basket with fruits and nuts) to go on a 20 by 48-inch panel for a kitchen.
Anyone doing anything spring or Easter related?
