The most reliable link to use is this one:

You'll see a "CGI:IRC Login " box. Where it says "nickname", highlight
the "CGI:000" that is there and type in your nickname.
Leave the "Server" line as it is
For "Channel" type or copy #woodcarverchat you need the # and it has to
be spelled perfectly or you will end up in your own channel all by
yourself :(

When you get there, type something in the long, narrow horizontal space
at the bottom of the chat window and hit the "Enter" key. That way we'll
know you are there.
