[Woodcarver] Lancaster County WoodCarver's Beginner Class

Beginner Woodcarving Class 

on October 15, 2011, 9:00 a..m. to 2:00 p.m.

At the Environmental Center of Lancaster County Park 

 

Come join the Lancaster County Woodcarving Club and learn what woodcarving
is all about. You will learn types of wood to carve, basic tools, carving
safety and how to sharpen your tools. You will go home with a finished
carved project. There is a base fee of $2.00 per participant.  Additionally,
you must purchase a cut proof glove (on site) for $8.00. Carving knives will
be available to borrow for the day or may be purchased for $20.00. We will
assign two novice carvers to each experienced woodcarver.  There will be a
½-hour lunch break, so please bring a packed lunch.  Each participant will
be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to participating.
Participants must be 14 years old or older.
