Hello all you carving folks!
Below you will find the initial announcement for the 2nd. Annual Winter Wood
Wonders Show and Sale.
This past February, we were blessed to be a part of that wonderful event
that was held to honor our disabled veterans. The show resulted in a
$6092.73 check being donated to the Windy City Athletes. You can read more
about the donation at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/woodcarvingfun/message/20202
It's a great event held for an even greater cause. I'll post another
announcement when reservations are available in November. In the meantime,
drop them a note and get on their e-mailing list to get the information as
soon as it becomes available. We have been selected as their exclusive
woodcarving tool and supplies vendor. We are grateful and honored to be a
part of their efforts once again.

Dear Exhibitors and Vendors of Winter Wood Wonders,
We are pleased to announce after much searching, we found a wonderful and
affordable place to hold the 2012 Winter Wood Wonders. Registration will
start in November but we ask that you announce it at your clubs, mention it
in your newsletters and help spread the word
The room is larger, has fabulous lighting, much better parking and is not
far from where we were last year.
We would like to welcome Jan and Terry Cairns to the organizing team. Among
other talents that they bring to the team, they are working on getting
Non-Profit status for Winter Wood Wonders so your many contributions to the
silent auction will be tax deductable next year.
We are looking for two or three more people who would like to join the
organizing team. We don't have a lot of meetings because we do much of the
work by email and phone. Since Winter Wood Wonders covers many forms of wood
art we would appreciate having input from people working in several
different art forms.
Below is our mission and vision statement. If you are interested, or know
of someone in your club that would enjoy being a part of this awesome
creation, please have them contact us.

All decisions on organizing and managing Winter Wood Wonders are based on
what is best for the artists and raises money for our veterans or other
charitable works. Decisions will be made in a spirit of cooperation and
inclusiveness. Our goal is to provide win-win solutions for each issue that
arises.
All members of the organizing team and the committee heads are volunteers

a fabulous show for wood artists.
We create an opportunity for wood art clubs to promote their groups and work
