[Woodcarver] clay as a carving aid

Depending on the size of the model, a 5 gallon plastic bucket with a lid works well. Apiece of 3/4 ' plywood to fit the bottom to mount the model on. This way you have a handle for caring and even something to sit on if you want and you usually have room for your tools. And usually FREE.

My questions:
what is the best way to transport it back and forth without the clay model being damaged
What are the options for securing an armature to a base (some of these people do not have shops so what is available for them to use?)
Do you have any clay modeling tips that you can pass on?
