[Woodcarver] my best carver

When my son (age 12) started whittling he cut himself severl times. After several cuts he lost interest.

When my daughter was about 8 she wanted to try carving. I drew a simple drawing on a board, clamped it and gave her a V-tool and small mallet. It was easy for her to follow the drawing. With supervision it was very safe. It wasn't long before she was drawing her own designs.
